Eucalyptus Cloud on Ubuntu 13.04 SE


Eucalyptus is open source cloud software for building AWS-compatible private and hybrid clouds.

I’ll be posting a follow-up after I have the opportunity to try some things out but I’m working on a small development environment now with Ubuntu 13.04 and Eucalyptus. My challenge at the moment is the servers we are using – primarily that I cannot begin with FastStart because the servers do not have DVD readers and the BIOS does not support USB boot. I moved on to trying Plop but so far the menus are unreadable and while I have figured out how to navigate my way to the “USB” option it hangs on boot. If this continues I will have to proceed with a manual installation:
